Punjabi film 'Sadda Haq' on Khalistan movement banned in Punjab Chandigarh: 'Sadda Haq (Our right), a Punjabi film based on real life events during the Khalistan movement, was tonight banned by the Punjab Government on the eve of its release across theatres in the state tomorrow.

According to an official spokesman here, the step to ban the film till further orders has been taken to "maintain communal harmony" in the state.

The film, according to actor-producer Kuljinder Sidhu, is based on the dark days of militancy in Punjab and is an attempt to potray what prompted young men in the state to tread the path of terrorism. Sidhu also plays the film s
