
Jind: A teenage girl allegedly committed suicide after she was scolded by her foster parents, who had objected to her talking to a friend over cellphone. The 16-year-old had consumed some poisonous substance on May 19, police said.
The girl was taken to a hospital in a serious condition where she died on Monday, police said.
A post-mortem was conducted and the case is being investigated, they added.
