
Kozhikode: The state Cabinet will take a decision on initiating a CBI probe into the larger conspiracy behind the murder of RMP leader T P Chandrasekharan after verifying all legal aspects, Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan has said. Speaking to mediapersons after a meeting with K K Rema, wife of slain leader at their residence at Onchiyam on Monday, Thiruvanchoor said that the government will verify all legal aspects regarding the issue.
The government has already appointed two special prosecutors - C K Sreedharan and P Kumarankutty and will conceive their views. Not only with the Advocate General, we will consult other legal experts and consider their advice before taking a decision upon the CBI probe, the minister said.
Thiruvanchoor arrived at the residence around 10 am and held discussion with Rema, her father K K Madhavan, son Abhinand and RMP leader N Venu in a closed room for more than half an hour. Terming his visit an usual one, Thiruvanchoor added that the government is considering the demands raised by Chandrasekharans widow and family seriously.
As of now, the probe conducted by SIT headed by ADGP Vinson M Paul is an achievement for Kerala Police. The SIT will continue further investigation as yet it has not been disbanded. The government has already made clear its stance on the issue, said Thiruvanchoor....
