The veteran Hindi cinema actor Pran has been awarded the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke award. The actor has played pivotal roles in many Indian languages films. Pran gets the 2012 annual Dadasaheb Phalke award and it is announced at the centenary year is notable.
The actor played the role of a sportsman in Kannada cinema 'Hosa Raaga' that was released in 1992. The film was directed by KV Jayaram.
Shashkumar was the heroine of the film while Sudharani the topnotch actress shared screen with Pran in the film. The film was produced under the banner of Ishwarya Lakshmi movies.
