New Delhi: After protests despite a three-fold salary hike, the Government could agree to another revision in pay for Members of Parliament (MPs), as the members demand for Rs 10,000 more in perks.
The Union Cabinet is expected to approve the hike in a meeting later Monday morning.
The new pay hike could be an increase in the form of allowances of MPs; like for phone call and constituency expenses.
Earlier, on Friday, the Union Cabinet approved bill to hike MPs' salary from current Rs 16,000 to Rs 50,000. But some ministers like Lalu Yadav and Mulayam Singh Yadav had rejected the offer, saying the new salary offer not enough....
