Meena Kumari, one of the early superstars of the Indian cinema, was born on August 1, 1932. She breathed her last on March 31, 1972. She experienced almost every emotion of life in a short span of 39 years.Meena Kumari was born as Mahjabeen Bano to Ali Baksh and Iqbal Begum. Her father was a theatre person and poet.Young Mahjabeen wanted to study but family conditions inspired her to take up acting as career.
