Meerut: Four youths allegedly gangraped a minor girl when she was going to relieve herself in a jungle near a village in Meerut, police said on Tuesday.
A report has been lodged against the four youths, who are all absconding, police said. The girl has been sent for medical examination, they said.
Locals have alleged that efforts are being made to hush up the matter. They have claimed that the victim's relatives are being forced to withdraw the gangrape case and lodge a complaint of rape only against one accused. The matter is being probed, police said.
