
New Delhi: What do MPs from Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Kerala, Chhattisgarh and Delhi share in common? Answer: They have managed not to spend even a single penny this year from their MPLADS (Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme) kitty.
This includes both Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha members.
This came to light after the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) collated data available till August.
The government had recently raised the MPLADS amount from Rs 2 crore to Rs 5 crore per year....
