Chennai: Vigilance officials on Wednesday conducted raids in the premises of former DMK minister NKKP Raja across Tamil Nadu in connection with a disproportionate assets case.
The raids by officials of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption were in progress in Chennai and Erode districts, DVAC sources said.
Raja is the latest among several DMK leaders and former Ministers besides MLAS to face police and DVAC action either on land grab charges or allegations of disproportionate assets after the AIADMK government came to power in April last year.

Chennai: Senior DMK leader and former Tamil Nadu Minister K Ponmudi was arrested on Wednesday in a land grabbing case. He was arrested from his native Villupuram, 160 km from Chennai, police said.
