A role that many actors including Karthika and Taapsee backed off from, has caught the fancy of Anjali. This is the role of the second heroine for Vishal in 'Madha Gaja Raja' (MGR). It has been confirmed that Anjali has taken up the role. Varalakshmi Sarathkumar plays the other female lead in the film.
This is the third time for Anjali to work with director Sundar C after 'Ayudham Seyvom' and 'Kalakalappu'. She shared screen space with him in the first movie, while Sundar C directed her in the latter.
According to a source close to the 'Angadi Theru' fame actress, Sundar C wanted only Anjali to play the role in the film right from when 'Kalakalappu' was being made. The director really likes Anjalis work and had cast her for 'MGR' as well. But she didnt have the dates required and thats when Sundar started looking for other options. She has now managed to accommodate 'MGR' in her schedule, said the source.
While Anjali hasnt listened to the script yet, her role is expected to be similar to the one in 'Kalakalappu', a heady mix of glamour and acting....
