Odisha mob violence: Tytler to meet Narayanasamy

Bhubaneswar: Amidst demands for his arrest for giving a provocative speech at a Congress rally on September 6, Congress Leader Jagdish Tytler will meet Minister of State of PMO Narayanasamy in Bhubaneshwar on Thursday.

This comes nearly a week after the state Congress leaders clashed with policemen outside the Assembly and injured several, including a woman constable.

Two police organisations and the ruling BJD have demanded arrest of Tytler accusing him of instigating partymen to attack the police and assault a woman constable during the September 6 rally.

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Police on Saturday filed a case against state Congress in-charge Jagdish Tytler for the mob violence outside the Assembly on Thursday. Tytler and six others were booked for attempt to murder, rioting and damage to public property. The police has arrested 34 people so far in connection with the protests.
