New Delhi: The Supreme Court is expected to pronounce its verdict on Sikkim High Court Chief Justice PD Dinakaran's petition challenging impeachment proceedings against him on Tuesday.
The charges against the judge include land grabbing, accumulation of unaccounted assets and passing judicial orders for extraneous considerations.
Dinakaran had accused the probing panel of a bias in their investigations and also, of exceeding their jurisdiction. Following this, the apex court had stayed the proceedings on April 29 .
A bench of Justices G S Singhvi and C K Prasad had reserved the order on June 1 after hearing for over five days on Dinakaran's petition which was opposed by the government and the Rajya Sabha appointed panel....
