Bangalore: Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa has allegedly got land worth several crores allotted to his family members for very low price. Documents exclusively accessed by CNN-IBN show that Yeddyurappa bent every rule in the book, only to ensure allotment of land for his sons and other family members.
Yeddyurappa family consists of his daughters Padmavathi, Arunadevi, Umadevi and his sons BY Raghavendra and BY Vijayendra.
Padmavathi is not involved in politics or business while Arunadevi is a member of National Literacy Mission and runs NGOs in Shimoga.
His other daughter Umadevi runs a BPO and is accused of 'out of turn' allotment of 2 acres of land from Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB). Sohan Kumar, who is married to Umadevi, is also accused of receiving favours from the Chief Minister in land deals....more
