The star athlete, winner of gold and silver medals at Asian Games and Commonwealth Games has been accused of rape and is under arrest. But because of her sexual ambiguity and possibly transgender identity, Pinki is being continually humiliated. Policemen grope her in public, crowds gather to look at her; a video clip on her medical tests has gone onto the internet. Why is Pinki Pramanik being treated as a circus freak? Has Pinkis dignity been systematically violated?
