
Pune: The prime accused in the kidnap and murder case of Pune boy Shubh Rawal has been sent to police custody till October 1. The accused, 19-year-old Parminder Singh, is a hotel management student.
In the gruesome incident, the five-year-old victim was kidnapped and strangled to death after being held for a ransom on Sunday.
While Parminder has been sent to police custody, another accused, a 15-year-old class 10 student, has been detained and booked for murder.
The police said that the duo lured the child with the promise of buying him chocolates from a Ganpati pandal. The police also said that they were planning to extort Rs 5 lakh from the boy's parents who are scientists, as they wanted the money to buy a motorcycle....
