NIA to take over Hindu terror cases: sources New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) will be handed all Hindu-terror related cases in the country, sources have told CNN-IBN.

This could include the murder case of RSS leader Sunil Joshi, who allegedly had a hand in the Samjhauta Express blast. Sources say the order will be issued in the coming week, as early as Wednesday.

Reports indicate, some state governments have expressed reservations - but the NIA Act gives no powers to state governments. The NIA, designed on the same lines FBI in the US, can take over cases without the approval of state govts.

CNN-IBN learns the National Investigative Agency will take charge of all Hindu-terror related cases - one of them being the murder of RSS activist and Samjhauta train blast suspect Sunil Joshi. ...more
