IPL 6 betting: Noose tightens around Srinivasan as Meiyappan summoned New Delhi: The Mumbai Police on Thursday served a notice to Chennai Super Kings team owner and BCCI chief N Srinivasan's son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan, asking him to appear before it for questioning by 5.00 pm on Friday.

The police claimed they needed to probe a substantial number of calls made by arrested Bollywood actor Vindoo Dara Singh to Meiyappan and bookie Ramesh Vyas.

All through Thursday, even as dramatic scenes were witnessed at the residence Meiyappan, his whereabouts remained unknown. Besides serving a notice at Gurunath's residence, a copy was also served to a manager in his office.

Though the spot-fixing lid was blown by the Delhi Police by arresting three Rajasthan Royals players, including S Sreesanth and others last Thursday, it is the Mumbai Police probe which appears to have raised the stakes on this massive scandal....more
