Ramesh Prasad returned to film production by producing a film under his father's banner after a gap of 30 years. It was 'Rushi' which hit the screens in February this year.
Raj Madiraj, its director won the Nandi Award for Best Story. Even though it was not a commercial success, the film receive critical acclaim and even some awards at film festivals.
The director keept the film from slipping into melodrama mode and it worked best for the flick. Which made it to win Nandi Award.
