
Mumbai: Chief Administrative Officer of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Ratnakar Shetty, on Thursday told CNN-IBN that the board will help Mumbai police in giving any documents and any footage that will help the inquiry in spot-fixing matter.
"We had sought an appointment with Himanshu Roy (Mumbai Joint CP, Crime) to hand over a letter from the BCCI as the Supreme Court has said that the BCCI must complete its inquiry within 15 days. We have requested the Mumbai Police to help in our inquiry. At the same time, we also promised to help in their investigations," said Shetty.
Earlier, IPL CEO Sundar Raman and Shetty were at Mumbai Crime Branch office to meet Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime). Earlier in the day, The Mumbai Police team reached Chennai Super Kings CEO Gurunath Meiyappan's residence in Chennai to question him in connection with the betting scandal but he was not at his house.
They handed over the summons to those present at Meiyappan's residence and later in the day Meiyappan told the Mumbai Police that he will be present for questioning on Monday at 11.00 am. The Mumbai Police had asked the CSK CEO to appear before them on Friday for interrogation....
