Box Office: 'Spider-Man' collects Rs 29.10 crore New Delhi: Directed by Marc Webb, and released in India a week before its American premiere, The Amazing Spider-Manhas in fact faired better than most other Bollywood releases, exceeding even the expectations of the experts. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh rounds of the collection for the weekend in his tweet, "'The Amazing Spiderman' Fri 8.50 cr, Sat 9.60 cr, Sun 11 cr. Total: Rs 29.10 cr nett. Outstanding!"

The chemistry between Garfield and Stone sells and stirs, pulling off the film as a blockbuster. Adarsh tweeted, "TheAmazingSpiderman Friday estimates 8.25 cr nett. Mindlowing!" and more, "Mind-boggling biz of #TheAvengers and #TheAmazingSpiderman in India should act as an eye-opener. Don't underestimate the Hollywood biggies!"

Like Aunt May says in Spider-Man (2002), "You do too much " college, a job, all this time with me... You're not Superman, you know." He might not be Superman, but The Amazing Spider-Man is a definite super-hit in India....more
