
New Delhi: A Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs has been sent back to his parent cadre after he was allegedly found to have leaked sensitive information regarding border contracts. Joint Secretary (Border Management) Sada Kant, has been sent back to his parent cadre Uttar Pradesh.
Home Ministry said that Kant has been sent back to his parent cadre because there was an allegation against him under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
Sources told CNN-IBN that pending inquiry by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), it was felt appropriate that he be repatriated to his cadre and so he was repatriated on May 20, 2011.
The Ministry has already given permission to the CBI to question Kant. Kant is alleged to be part of a trust which built a Hanuman temple worth Rs 15-20 lakh in his home town, which was actually a quid pro quo by the contractor who was favoured by him....
