New Delhi: It seems that June 22 is the perfect date for 'Gangs of Wasseypur' to go public. The film has been receiving rave reviews in India and abroad, and thus the common audience is waiting for the film with eager hearts. The director Anurag Kashyap will be under tremendous pressure to strike a chord with the audience, however, the film's good performance at various film festivals would provide him hope for a good show at the ticket window.
The film premiered at the 65th Cannes International Film Festival in front of the packed house. Magazines such as Hollywood Reporter compared it with Quentin Tarantino's films.
