
New Delhi: In a twist in the Karwar Naval sex scandal case, CNN-IBN has learnt that the couple was separated and had filed for divorce by mutual consent in April this year. CNN-IBN also learnt that the father of the girl had filed a complaint to the Human Rights Commission and Defence Minister AK Antony alleging sexual abuse and dowry harassment.
This after the husband agreed to paying Rs 8 lakh as alimony. There was also no mention of the abuse or harassment in thee divorce settlement.
The woman had on Tuesday alleged that her husband had asked her to perform sexual favours for his colleagues while they were stationed at Karwar in Karnataka.
