Director Kadhir makes his way back to Kollywood

Actor Shaam, who spent his initial years in Kollywood as a chocolate boy in films like '12 B' and 'Ye! Nee Romba Azhaga Irukka', moved to serious roles later. The actor has now joined hands with 'Kathir', the filmmaker known for his breezy mushy romances, for the movie 'Kodai Vidumurai'.

This flick will mark Kadhirs return to films after a hiatus of 10 years. He is still known for his love-centric films like 'Idhayam (1992), which was his debut, and 'Kadhal Virus' (2002), which he last directed.

The 'Kadhal Desam' fame director is targeting the young audience with 'Kodai Vidumurai' in which Shaam plays a college student. Shaam has been essaying serious roles for quite some time now. This film will be a breather in that sense for him, he says.

Kathirs film has already gone on floors. Summer holidays, which play a major role in all our lives and help take important decisions, will be the focus of this film, he informs City Express....more    

Kathir, Shaam team up for 'Kodai Vidumurai'

Kathir dished out some of the memorable campus love stories of Kollywood, including 'Idhayam', 'Kadhal Desam' and 'Kadhalar Dinam'. After a sabbatical, the filmmaker is back, with a movie titled 'Kodai Vidumurai'. Shaam is playing the lead role, while a couple of Mumbai girls will share the screen space with him as heroines.
