
New Delhi: Former Pakistan Cricket Board chief Shahryar Khan has said that India feels Pakistan is too dangerous to play cricket in. Speaking to CNN-IBN's Karan Thapar, Khan, however said he hopes the two countries can play cricket at least in neutral venues.
Shahryar Khan: We would like foreign teams to come and play against us after such a long time, but we also appreciate that if Sri Lanka can't come and they have just said that they are not able to come because of the security climate, then it is hardly likely that other teams will come. Maybe in a year or two years' time, we may be able to create a climate and assurances on security that would allow teams to come. I don't think India can come right now.
Karan Thapar: So Pakistan would be happy for cricketing contacts to be resumed in a third country?
Shahryar Khan: Yes in fact we would like it, if it is likely that the team would not be able to come to Pakistan, we would be happy to play these matches in a third country. Now there is a third alternative....
