Biplab Samantray scored 55 runs to lead Sunrisers to a respectable score of 136 for 9 with Darren Sammy (23) and Thisara Perera (17) contributing lower down the order.

Parthiv Patel had got Hyderabad off to a terrific start clubbing four boundaries of the first over of the match bowled by Mitchell Johnson, but got out to Lasith Malinga after scoring 14-ball 26.
