
New Delhi: The clamour for N Srinivasan's head is growing stronger as after Sharad Pawar-led NCP, Sahara India Chief Subrata Roy has also said that the BCCI president should step down in the present scenario. Roy went a step further and said Pawar should replace Srinivasan as BCCI chief.
"I totally agree that Srinivasan should step down. It's important that he should step down in present circumstances. Persons who are wrong should be handled strongly to set a strong example," Roy said while speaking to CNN-IBN. "If Sharad Pawar is given sufficient time, then he is the right man for BCCI presidents post."
Roy further said that any team should be scrapped if its owner is involved in betting. "If owner is involved in betting then the team should be scrapped. Players should be taken care off if the team is being scrapped.
Talking about his estranged relationship with the BCCI, Roy said everything was good between them and the board till Shashank Manohar was the BCCI chief. "Till Shashank Manohar was there, we used to love our relation with the BCCI," Roy said. "Earlier BCCI was well managed. I had 14-year-old relationship with them. But Srinivasan could not fulfil his commitments."...
