Adams, Salisbury sacked; Stewart new man-in-charge at Surrey London: After a disappointing start to their County Championship season, Surrey have sacked Team Director Chris Adams and first team coach Ian Salisbury and appointed former captain Alec Stewart as the new man-in-charge at the club.

Stewart, who is presently working as an executive director at the club, and bowling coach Stuart Barnes will be in charge for the team's next fixture against Yorkshire on June 21.

"Chris and Ian have worked really hard for the club and we appreciate their endeavours during the past five seasons," Surrey chief executive Richard Gould said. "The club has decided it is now time to make a change in order to progress further."...more
