'Hangover II' first comedy to touch $100 mn mark Los Angeles: 'The Hangover II' is on its way to shatter numerous box office records by grossing USD 118.1 million in its first four days.

It has become the first R-rated comedy to help fuel the best Memorial Day weekend in history at the domestic box office followed closely by another film sequel 'Kung Fu Panda 2', which had generated USD 68.2 million.

Despite mixed reviews, the sequel is expected to gross another USD 20 million for a staggering five-day bow of USD 138.1 million, setting a new benchmark for comedies, the Hollywood Reporter said.
