BJP calls UPA II a complete failure, asks why it is celebrating New Delhi: As the UPA II completes four years and is set to release its report card at its celebration dinner on Wednesday evening, the Bharatiya Janata Party has questioned as to what is the celebration for. Attacking the UPA government over a range of issues, the BJP said the UPA government has failed on all fronts.

BJP leader Sushma Swaraj began by attacking the UPA over the lack of leadership qualities in Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. "Coalitions need special leadership, someone who is a leader. Manmohan Singh is a Prime Minister, not a leader. He is neither the leader of his party nor the leader of this country. The biggest failure of UPA has been that it has not been able to give a capable leadership," Sushma Swaraj said.

Attacking the UPA over weak decision making and scams, Sushma said, "The economic environment is worrying and no decisions are being taken. No government's rule has seen this level of corruption, price rise."

She went on to attack the UPA over its diplomatic ties citing the Chinese incursion issue and the issue of Tamils in Sri Lanka. "The China issue took so much time to get resolved. It got resolved because of the Chinese Premier's visit, else it would have taken a longer period," Sushma said....more
