I was not hiding, says IPL chief Rajiv Shukla New Delhi: Breaking his silence on the IPL spot-fixing scandal that has maligned Indian cricket, IPL chief Rajiv Shukla has said that he "was not hiding" and the BCCI will do everything it takes "to weed out" corruption.

CNN-IBN: Your first reaction, four cricketers in police custody, answering questions from police interrogators. There's s much alleged stories about them having nexus with the under-world, what is your initial reaction?

Rajiv Shukla: My reaction is that we all are very sad. Lead was going in such a fantastic way, suddenly this thing has come. And I would like to congratulate the Delhi Police for unearthing this incident and I mean they've caught these players and are investigating this whole issue; the BCCI, IPL, they all will cooperate with Delhi Police, they should thoroughly investigate and whoever is found guilty would be severely punished. At BCCI level they will be punished and Delhi police should also initiate the legal proceedings as per the Indian laws. ...more
