
Hyderabad: Cracks in the Congress's Andhra Pradesh unit have become evident with the Union Minister Vyalar Ravi admitting that many complaints have been received against Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, who recently completed his two years in office.
Two years at the helm, Kiran Kumar Reddy still faces an uncertain future. He is likely to be summoned by the Congress high command, which wants an explanation into several complaints from his detractors. "I will go to Andhra Pradesh but before that I will call the leaders and talk to them to analyse the situation on political issues. I will also call the Chief Minister and ask him what he is doing," said Vyalar.
Like the Bharatiya Janata Party government in the neighbouring state Karnataka, internal squabbles are giving nightmares to the Congress government in Andhra. But what's worrying Reddy is that the voices of protest against him are growing louder.
The recent Cabinet decision to reject a CBI plea for prosecution of Roads and Buildings Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao, in connection with the disproportionate assets case against YSR Congress leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy, came under attack from colleagues like Health Minister DL Ravindra Reddy.
