Best Bakery: Bombay HC to hear Yasmeen's plea

New Delhi: The 2002 Best Bakery case is set to come up for hearing before the Bombay High Court on Monday. The court will begin hearing the appeals filed by nine convicts who were awarded life terms in connection with the case.

The court is expected to bring up the matter of Yasmeen Bano Shaikh today. She is one of the key witnesses in the case.

In her petition, she alleged that she was lured and misguided by social activist Teesta Setalvad to give false testimony against 17 accused in the case, of which a Mumbai special court convicted nine to life imprisonment.
