UP: Man allegedly assaults 5 women activists physically, verbally Lalitpur: A shocking instance of horror against women has surfaced from Lalitpur in Uttar Pradesh. Five women working as human rights activists were allegedly physically and verbally assaulted when they had gathered to inaugurate an adult literacy centre for Dalit women in the village.

The man who attacked them also abused them using casteist slurs. Three of the survivors have sustained serious head and body injuries.

An FIR and medical report have been filed. The man who allegedly attacked the women is on the run.
