The annual Cannes International Film Festival rolled out the red carpet for the latest and best in the fashion world. Bollywood's top actresses from ramp to reel

Whoever thought models just know how to flaunt their pretty faces and svelte figures, the current crop of Bollywood leading ladies are here to dispel your notion! From Aishwarya Rai and Deepika Padukone to Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif - these top rung actresses have proved time and again that models can indeed act! Of course, there have been male models like John Abraham, Arjun Rampal, Dino Morea, Milind Soman, Rahul Dev, Arjan Bajwa and Rajneesh Duggal, who made a successful transition from the ramp to the big screen. But the women outnumber them and have garnered more success in the glitzy and glamourous film industry. Counted among the world's most beautiful women, Aishwarya has proved her acting mettle in films like 'Taal', 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', 'Devdas', 'Guru' and 'Guzaarish'. In 2009, she was given the Padmi Shri, India's fourth highest civilian honour, for her contribution to cinema.
