Afzal Guru has filed an application before the Supreme Court and sought an early decision on his plea for clemency. Guru has been served the death sentence for his role on the December 2001 terrorist attack on Parliament. Guru's clemency plea has been pending with the government for four years. Is solitary confinement for life worse than death sentence?
