Noida: Drunken miscreants open fire in Film City

Noida: The poor law and order in Uttar Pradesh was once again highlighted on Monday night when five drunken men opened fire in Noida's Film City, the hub of several national and regional news channels. The men first consumed alcohol and then opened fire. Uttar Police reached the spot after getting the information and arrested all the five accused.

The police recovered a pistol, a revolver and also seized their vehicle. Police officials say all five accused live in Noida.

Meanwhile, a fire broke out on Monday at a beauty parlour in a residential building in Sector 12 area in Noida and three persons were injured when they jumped from the first floor to save themselves, fire department official said.

The parlour owner Renu along with her three children - Surbhi, Jivesh and Ankit jumped off when they saw smoke coming out from the salon in the ground floor. Three of them sustained injuries due to the fall and were admitted at a local hospital where their condition is stable....more
