
Allahabad: The Allahabad High Court has put a stay on the Akhilesh Yadav government's decision to withdraw cases against terror accused. The Lucknow bench has referred the case to a larger bench.
This came after the UP government announced that it wants to withdraw cases against 16 terror accused in the 2007 serial blasts in Lucknow, Varanasi and Faizabad. The High Court had earlier questioned the legality of this decision taken by the UP government.
The Samajwadi Party had its in manifesto last year promised to review terror charges against innocent Muslim youth.
