Superstar Vijay's new film is a gritty political thriller which has been directed by AL Vijay.

After watching A. L. Vijay's period drama film Madrasapattinam, Vijay was impressed by the the director and contacted him for a new project.

Apparently the actor agreed to do the film in fifteen minutes of hearing the script.
