
Birmingham: Arsenal endured their third 0-0 draw of the Premier League season, allowing Aston Villa to climb out of the relegation zone on Saturday.
The hosts did well throughout, limiting their opponents to half chances with a strong defensive performance whilst working a number of openings of their own. However, Paul Lambert's men showed no real penetration after seeing a first-half goal chalked off for offside.
The visitors often looked the more likely side to take the lead, but with chances spurned by the likes of Santi Cazorla and Aaron Ramsey, it soon became clear that it wasnt going to be the Gunners day.
Villains manager Lambert elected to stick with the team that lost to Manchester City last weekend, with the exception of Karim El-Ahmadi, who came into midfield at the expense of Stephen Ireland. For the visitors, Jack Wilshere was rested and Theo Walcott failed to recover from a shoulder injury, whilst starts were handed to young full-backs Kieran Gibbs and Carl Jenkinson....
