
Azamgarh: An elderly person was hacked to death in Kritmalpur Ahirauli village in Vardah area in Azamgarh, police said on Tuesday.
Ishtiyaq alias Chutkan (80) was killed on Monday night by some unidentified persons when he was sleeping outside his house, they said.
The body of the victim has been sent for postmortem and a probe is on, they said. No arrests have been made so far.
