Melbourne: Australian spin legend Shane Warne said the axing of Usman Khawaja was harsh and a similar fate beckons Mike Hussey and Ricky Ponting if the Aussies lose the eagerly-awaited Test series against India.
When you are losing and the senior players are not performing, that is when it gets difficult for them, Warne was quoted as saying by Daily Telegraph.
Warne said Khawaja was unlucky to be dropped.
