Brij Bihari Prasad murder: Patna HC acquits Pappu Yadav Patna: The Patna High Court on Friday acquitted three Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) politicians - Pappu Yadav, Munna Shukla and Rajan Tiwari - accused in the Brij Bihari Prasad murder case.

The three were acquitted for lack of evidence. The court decided to give all three MLAs the benefit of doubt. All three are behind bars presently.

Sources say that Munna Shukla and Rajan Tiwari may be released soon, but Pappu Yadav will not be as he is serving life term for another murder in the Tihar jail.

The Braj Bihari murder case dates back to 1998 when the RJD leader was killed by armed assailants inside the premises of the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in Patna while he was on an evening walk....more
