The wonders 4 weeks can do! A month after Sanjay Dutt broke down while addressing the press after the verdict on his jail sentence was declared, the actor looked happy and smiled at an event organised by his family.

Dutt has appealed to India's Supreme Court to give him some more time before he begins a prison sentence for a 1993 weapons conviction linked to a deadly terror attack. Dutt filed his appeal Monday, April 15, 2013 saying he needed time to complete his film commitments. The court sentenced Dutt to five years in prison for illegal possession of weapons supplied by Muslim mafia bosses linked to the terror attack that killed 257 people in Mumbai.

Police in Texas say between five and 15 people were killed in a fertilizer plant explosion that also injured more than 160 others.

An explosion on Wednesday night shook the ground with the strength of a small earthquake in the community of 2,800 people located about 20 miles north of Waco.

Waco police Sgt William Patrick Swanton said on early Thursday morning that the death toll is only an estimate as search and rescue operations remain under way in downtown West.

Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde visited those injured in the Hyderabad blasts and said all medical expenses will be borne by the government.

Shinde assured that no stone will be left unturned in nabbing the culprits.

Shinde also visited the blast sites with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy on Friday morning.

At least 15 killed in two blasts in Hyderabad's Dilsukh Nagar.

More than 14 people were killed in two explosions on Thursday evening which took place in Dilsukh Nagar bus stand area of Hyderabad.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) said that at least three blasts have taken place in the Andhra Pradesh capital but the site of the third explosion is yet to be ascertained.

First visuals: Blast in Agra hospital

The Inspector General of Agra Zone, PK Tiwari said that the crude bomb was kept in a bag and exploded at the reception of Jai hospital.

Out of the four people injured, three sustained minor injuries and one person sustained burn injuries. All the three injured are being treated in the same hospital.

While eyewitnesses claimed they saw a suspicious man carrying a bag, it remains to be seen whether this was a planned deliberate bomb blast.
