
Mumbai: In new trouble for the Congress, MLA Amin Patel on Thursday was accused of storming a polling station in Byculla, Mumbai and tampering the EVM machine at the booth. Amin Patel is the Congress candidate from the Mumbadevi constituency.
The matter came to light when clashes broke out between workers of the Samajwadi Party and the Congress after news surfaced that Patel and his supporters had stormed into a polling station.
Paramilitary forces were soon called in to control the situation.
Police said that while they have received a picture that was clicked during the incident, it wasn't clear yet whether the man was Amin Patel....
