New Delhi: A Naval Board of Inquiry on Friday started probe into the charges made by the wife of a senior Navy officer that she was being forced by her husband into getting "sexually involved" with his colleagues.
The BoI venue was shifted from Karwar in Karnataka to Delhi and during the day-long proceedings, the two sides, the woman and her husband, who is a Navy officer, questioned each other, sources said.
The board is headed by an officer of the rank of Commander (equivalent of Lt Colonel in Army) and he is assisted by two officers including a lady officer, they said. Defence Minister AK Antony had ordered a probe into the issue soon after the woman met him and complained about the alleged deeds of her husband.
A day later, the Navy also ordered a Board of Inquiry. The inquiry was earlier being held in Karwar in Karnataka but later it was shifted to Delhi after the request made by the woman's parents....
