Hi-tech gadgets to keep Delhi Metro stations clean New Delhi: Eco-friendly chemicals, hi-tech machines and bio-degradable garbage disposal bags will ensure cleanliness of Metro stations. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has decided to re-work its cleaning and housekeeping practices by using advanced and hi-tech machineries and is conducting specialised training programme for its staff to ensure the entire system is clean and hygienic round-the-clock.



All the team leaders and supervisors of the cleaning teams deputed at stations, maintenance depots are now being trained and certified by the British Institute of Cleaning Sciences in Gurgaon for this purpose. An orientation programme and workshop will also be held for all station managers, train maintenance depot in-charges and officials from Operations Department to understand the working of these new equipment and techniques.
