
Banka: Two bureaucrats are paving the way for a better, brighter life for others in Bihar's Naxal-hit Banka region. They are providing UPSC aspirants free education and coaching sessions.
Cracking the UPSC is a difficult proposition, especially for aspirants who live in Naxal-infested areas, with no access to proper coaching facilities. But all that has changed in Bihar's Banka district due to the efforts of district magistrate Dipak Anand and his deputy sub-divisional magistrate Mithilesh Mishra. Together, they conduct free coaching sessions for students taking the UPSC exam from this region.
"My book 'How To Be Successful in Civil Services' is coming soon," Dipak Anand said. "Our teacher is an IAS officer so we are able to learn a lot from his experience," said Gulzar Mukul, a student.
With no proper guidance, these students found it increasingly difficult to prepare for the exam. But now, there is hope because of Dipak's and Mithilesh's initiative. And they are not alone. Taking cue, other officers from the region are also taking time out to tutor UPSC aspirants. ...
