Hockey: India to face Holland in Olympic opener New Delhi: Eight-time champions India will start their campaign against The Netherlands on July 30 in the men's hockey competition of the 2012 London Olympics.

The London Olympic Organising Committee (LOCOG), alongwith the International Hockey Federation (FIH), unveiled the 12-team hockey competition schedule on Tuesday, that will be held from July 30 to August 11.

India, who have been clubbed with Germany (No.2), Korea (No.6), New Zealand (No.7), Belgium (No.11) and Netherlands in Pool B, will play their next match on August 1 against the Black Caps. India, who won their first Olympic gold medal in 1928, will then take on the current Olympic champions Germany on August 3, before locking horns with Korea a day after. India will play Belgium in their last preliminary match on August 7.

Pool A has world champions and top-ranked Australia, Great Britain (No.4), Spain (No.5), Pakistan (No.8), Argentina (No.9) and South Africa (No.12)....more
