Caught on Camera: Congress leader Bikram Singh Brahma, accused of rape, being slapped and kicked by public

In a sign that attitudes might be changing since the rape of a 23-year-old woman in New Delhi, who died of severe internal injuries, police have arrested Brahma.

In an embarrassment to the Congress ahead of the Panchayat elections in February, a case has been registered against the local party leader in the Bodoland area of Assam for allegedly raping a woman.

Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Congress Committee chief convener Bikramsingh Brahma allegedly entered the woman's house forcefully at around 2 am and raped her.
